Akanni is a multitalented rapper, singer, musician, producer, composer, dancer, choreographer, DJ and dance teacher. Coming from a big artistic family full of musi-cians and dancers, Akanni has his roots in Oldschool-HipHop as a rapper and b-boy of the first hour from the Bronx, as well as other kinds of music and art.
His show Soul City Magic is based on a ghetto childs quest to be the best, and his desire to try to do as much as he can as an artist. The place were he grew up, that is the soul city were so many creative people made their own magic happen, and some of this magic has travelled all over the world. Now, Akanni is bringing You his own magic, straight out of the heart of the soul city at Star Eye's own location, the Sonix.
With Soul City Magic, You can expect a high energy multitalented one-man-show filled with urban soul combined with all elements of the stage from music, song and dance to theater and comedy and much much more. This instrument juggling, dance style switching interactive experience is sure to be great funky fun for people of all ages.
Akanni is also hosting the Open Mic Event at the Quasimodo, Berlin and the liveDEMO events all over Germany.

Guest Performances are possible every Friday. You can bring your tracks on CD, your instruments, your band or musicians, play unplugged, for 15 or 40 minutes…all is welcome.
There is also a jamsession every Friday with all artists welcome to join.
