AKAISHA BIO



Akaisha was formed in March of 2004 in Indianapolis, IN. For the next two years they played any hole in the wall bar to fine establishment to spread the Akaisha "Infection" throughout the Midwest. Over this time frame they battled through line-up changes, however the core founding members ViaL8r, Wuki, and Bishop still remained.



In mid 2006, Akaisha went on a hiatus because of line-up changes, particularly the strings section. Before the line-up changed, Sweeps was added as a second guitarist. He assumed sole duties on guitar after the changes were made and by sheer chance Hoodlum was found to fill the void at bass.



Joining Bishop, ViaL8r, and Wuki, Hoodlum and Sweeps rounded out the group. Akaisha is now truly showcasing their eclectic love for many forms of music. With the capability of making brutal and also beautiful music while still staying true to their roots.



The new music is an expression of in your face hostility and groove laden melodies. The five lead the masses back into the stripped down attitude of the greats that paved the way.
