Ailie

Ailie was born into families of southern style that his father is hawaiian music player and his brother is also samba player. He washed naturally onto afro music. He grew up in the club scene in Tokyo that is complexly intertwined with every music around the world are all jumbled up. He makes music what has ambient atmosphere which like fresh saltiness in mysterious ways.



When he met the roots music band names "I Continually" , he started music work based on the reggae scene in Tokyo during the 2001.



2002, Ailie learned natural healing with a bush doctor in Kingstone (Jamaica), after that won the competition "BOB MARLEY SONGS DAY FESTIVAL in Tokyo" got the flight to there as the prize.



After returning home, Ailie as R.Sakasegawa gave a guest performance in the 2nd album of the "HOME GROWN" that take a lead band in dancehall reggae scene in Japan. This hooked up, in 2003,"PAPA U-Gee" featured him on the stage of YOKOHAMA REGGEA FESTIVAL. The scenes from this put on DVD that was released nationwide, his singing voice started to sound all over Japan.



Ailie self-released three albums as "I Continually", but this group broke up in the end of the 2005. He hit the ground running solo.



Ailie joined a tour of the brothers band the "Dubsensemania" that share member, and released a 10'inch as the guest performer for the "FRISCO" that is the superb lovers band, and he was greeted with a great number of compilation albums before now.



2006, Ailie started his own label "Roots 1 Music" with friends who share pleasures and pains with him. They are musicians of friends, but also teachers, he always ask them help to make music and he gather his own Band names "IrieBand" together.



Ailie created the first solo album "Ailie" featuring def guests "YoYo-C", "HOME GROWN" and "Dubsensemania" in 2007.

父がハワイアンミュージシャン、兄がサンバミュージシャンという南国系な家庭に産まれ、東京の荒波にもまれ育つ。

２００１年９月、ルーツ・レゲエ・バンド I CONTINUALLYとの出会いを切っ掛けに、レゲエシーンでの活動を開始。切なくも甘く、時に熱く激しく、New Jack Swingを彷彿とさせる緩急織り交ぜた独自のスタイルで、ルーツ、ダンスホール、ラヴァーズ、スカ、ダブなどなど、ジャンルの垣根を越えありとあらゆる波を乗りこなす。２００５年末、３枚の作品を残しバンドが解散。

２００７年５月、初のソロアルバムとなる『AILIE』を発表。

２００８年２月、『風の歌』にてメジャーデビュー後、大阪アメ村のクラブ『Sound-Channel』の仕掛け人TAIYO氏を頼りアルバム製作を開始。関西ダブシーンの重鎮HAV氏のスタジオSOUL FIRE-RECORDINGSにて出逢うべくして集ったbAttA、dol-lop、RED-Bに加え両氏と共に『７HEROES』を結成。ミナミの哲人BUNBUN THE MCをゲストに迎え、２００９年４月、『ROOTS』を発表。

そして本年１０月２１日発売予定のアルバム『SPIRIT』では、さらにICCHIE、LUI（DUBSENSEMANIA)をゲストに迎え、さらにパワーを増した音魂をドロップ計画進行中！！http://ailie.jp
