A Humming From The Wood

A Humming From The Wood are the two sisters Carolin and Daniela Nerger from Uslar/Germany. From 2003 on they played in the streets of nearby cities and had their first experiences on stage. But after they had the great honour to get to know Mr. Thomas Hansen (St. Thomas), nothing should be the same anymore. He invited them to be his spontanous St. Thomas support act in October 2005 and in March 2007. A Humming From The Wood played their first official concerts in Halden and Fredrikstad, Norway in June 2007. The shows were organized by their dear friends from Tellusalie. There, they sold their home-recorded CD “Eight Songs For You!”. You can also find A Humming From The Wood on the “Folklore Vol. 1” compilation, released by Polar Recordings from Pittsburgh, in October 2007, on the St. Thomas “Walk With Me” Tribute-CD, where you can find a cover version of Thomas’ “With The Feather” and on their latest record “Up the mountain, down the valley”, July 2009.
