Forged from the fires of the underground music scene of San jose, AGGRO have evolved throughout the years from a skaterock band of standards to the sheer eclectic convergence of a Rockn'Roll holocaust.
The early lineups were raw and reminescent of the oldschool skaterock stylings similar to such bands as Agression, Battalion of Saints and The Faction. Slowly they gained momentum and merged with a more stylized sound mixing aspects of Punk, Metal and experimental.
Now they have gone full circle with their roots exposed they bring the fuel to the burning building that is underground Rock n' Roll.
AGGRO HAVE PLAYED MANY SHOWS WITH MANY GOOD BANDS. The First official show as AGGRO was with PigZenSpace, The B-Sides, Bettys Love Child and Krupted Peasant Farmerz at the Camden Teen center in 1998. The Last official show (but not the end of the band) was in September of 2003 at Pinkys Swiss Club in Sacramento with Jim Jones Brigade, The Shenanagoats and a short Tribute set of Agression songs featuring Anthony Barbaria and Rob Thacker from Aggro and Ryan Fassler from Jim Jones Brigade. The highlight of that show was the shady neighborhood and Free Budweiser for all!!!
AGGRO continued working on various related projects in 2004.
In 2005, Ryan joined to record for the upcoming Agression tribute album which will also feature such bands as D.I, Channel 3, Fang, Shattered Faith, Opressed Logic, Life Crisis, McRad, Retching Red, California Redemption, JFA and many more.
For 2006, AGGRO recruited Josh from SilentSinner/Maelstrom into the band. He has been involved with AGGRO since 1998 and was the last drummer for the bands last live show in 2006.
AGGRO have been known to take hiatus from time to time, but never fully break up. Talk of recording new material and rerecording some songs for an unreleased album are still going on as well as sporatic jam sessions with three of the original members that will eventually lead to another stage of the band that has been planned.
