Darrell is lead guitar/rhythm and writes all the guitar parts.
Phil is song writer and drums.

The other Brandon, Ian and Dan played in the live band but did not contribute to the songs you hear here.
Darrell is the master of the guitar ax and Phil wanted to keep writing metal songs after Ages End broke up. Thus we have the unholy union of AD VALOREM. A Front project, def not a side project. Ask Darrell on facebook to reply to my messages and maybe one day we will have a new song. Otherwise this is it.
The vision I have for this sound is controlled chaos. Every song has a specific theme and very specific parts that are played usually more than once to give the idea of a song and not just random riff after random riff. In other words you could tell one song from the next on an album as opposed to bands like ABR and many progressive bands that endlessly have a thousand riffs per song thus turning the album and live show into a conflagration of parts that are interchangeable and usually indistiguishable. Because there are so many bands like that we wanted songs that had some meat on their bones like back in the day when if you had a good solid riff you played it more than once, ie 5 minutes alone or The Trooper or Lamb of God. So what you have are songs that have a defined format similar to rock songs but the parts are intended to be faster, heavier and more energetic than typical songs that have verse chorus bridge motiffs. Our chorus;s are breakdowns, our bridges are solos, our verses are two steps for an example. Hope you enjoy it.
