Adebisi is a highly gifted hip-hop rapper/songwriter from Milwaukee, WI, whose

love for “underground hip-hop”, driving rhythms and 80’s rap has separated him

from the growing cesspool of artists wielding mics. Adebisi officially

launched his professional music career in 1999 while attending the University of

Wisconsin-Parkside. During his brief stint with the label Cream City Records in

2000 Adebisi and Tom Wood released the “Lucky & Reign Supreme EP” and went on to

perform hundreds of local promo shows.

In 2001 Adebisi went on a hiatus and independently established B.L.A.X ENT. In

late 2002 while recording “The Street Scholar Mixtape” Adebisi simultaneously

set out to gain prestigious recognition by performing at countless open mics and

emcee battles locally and regionally. Adebisi went on to receive praises among

MKE’s open mic community as well as being featured at The Mecca’s “Harvest moon

Celebration” in Milwaukee, WI. Shortly thereafter Adebisi penned an

independently released book of poems, titled “A Psalm for the ghetto: from my

block to yours. In early 2003 Adebisi released “Street Scholar Mixtape” and in

late 2005 he released his debut independent album “The Street Scholar”.*(to date

2000 physical copies sold and 1200 digital downloads). The 9-year Hip-Hop

“Underground” Veterans unique sound and delivery is said “to be a mix of styles

of the likes of Major Recording Artist “Common” and “Scarface” while his crafty

and mind boggling lyrics are regularly compared to Hip-Hop Superstars such as

“Talib Kweli” and “Ludacris”. Just last May Adebisi released the “Guess Who’s

Back?" mixtape. “Feel Good Music” one of the singles off of the forthcoming

2009, highly anticipated album “Hard Money” re-defines that late 80’s hip hop

dance sound. Also for the new scrappers and trappers Adebisi keeps it hood with

the street blazing single “So True”. Along the way, Adebisi has garnered stock

in a reputation of truly having some of the most enjoyable and remarkable

performances by “underground” hip-hop artists.
