Adara Blake was born the 3rd of August, 1977.

She was raised with her 3 brothers in Sedona, Arizona.

When Adara was a small girl, her mother would sing to her all the classic folk songs.

This inspired her from a very young age to write songs and sing. Since Adara can remember, music has been in her heart and driven her spirit.

She began performing as a solo artist in Sedona, Flagstaff, Prescott, Phoenix, and surrounding areas in 1995.

She released her freshman album in the summer of 1999.

In August 2002 she moved to Portland, Oregon in search of a larger music community.

Adara continued performing as a solo artist as well as joined the female fronted dark rock band Stabitha in April 2003.

Adara then moved on to front her own band Opticollide In the Spring of 2005.

Opticollide’s sound was a melodic, metal edged rock. In early 2007, Opticollide released their debut album “ELEVEN”.

During Adara’s seven years in Portland, she had the opportunity to learn how to record and produce her own music.

She started a small recording studio out of her home and began to produce and record other local musician’s projects as well.

Delving into the world of recording, opened her up to so many other aspects of music and really impacted how she thinks about, writes and creates music today.

In the summer of 2009, Adara decided to move back to her home town of Sedona to reconnect with her singer, songwriter, acoustic roots and to be closer to her family.

Adara is now playing around town and in surrounding areas while working on the writing and recording of her next solo album.

She has recently started a Trio called "Adara Blake and the Keys of Z." Which started playing out July 2009
