Jim McGorman is a singer/songwriter/music producer/recording artist. As a multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar, bass, drums), his versatility has enabled him to work with an incredibly diverse group of musicians. He has performed or recorded with some of the most successful artists in the world - Avril Lavigne (musical director), Cher, Aaron Neville, The Coors, Poison, Michelle Branch (musical director), Marc Broussard, Paul Stanley (musical director), Bret Michaels, New Radicals, Tal Bachman, and more.

Growing up in South Jersey/Philadelphia area Jim was exposed to Philly soul and was enamored with pop music from a young age. After playing in bands in high school, Jim attended Berklee Colloge of Music and graduated with a degree in Music Production and Engineering. He immediately moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. He quickly found himself touring the world with various major label artists.

In addition to touring, Jim has played on numerous recordings and appeared on hundreds of television shows (Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, American Music Awards, World Music Awards, Regis and Kelly, TRL, Top of The Pops, BBC., etc.). In 2005 and 2006, Jim was a member of the celebrated House Band on the CBS hit show Rock Star:INXS/Rock Star:Supernova. For the past two years, Jim has been touring and performing with Avril Lavigne (musical director). As a songwriter, Jim's songs have been featured on One Tree Hill, The Hills, Smallville, Extreme Home Makeover and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 movie trailer ("It's Only Life" preformed by Kate Voegele). 2008 shows the release of Marc Broussard's Keep Coming Back record on Atlantic - which Jim has 3 songs on, including the title track and first single "Keep Coming Back". Jim has also recently collaborated with Bret Michales form Poison. The song "Fallen" which Jim co-wrote and produced is featured on the VH1 top 20 Countdown.

In early 2008, Jim signed a record deal and has begun work on his first major distribution release (due out in 2009). Upon finishing the world tour with Avril in support of The Best Damn Thing, Jim will be heading back into the studio to write and record. He recently built a full production recording studio at his home in Los Angeles and will be focusing his time on producing, song-writing and playing on records.
