There’s excitement buzzing throughout the music’s hip-hop industry for the long awaited debut release from this Inglewood, California native. Ablaze, born Nicole Shante Jackson started rapping at the age of nine and writing her own lyrics by the age of twelve. Ablaze always knew that music was her way of expression and she’s always had a lot to say. Back in high school Ablaze met up with two fellow emcees who later introduced her to Unjust A.N.T., a producer also from Inglewood. The chemistry was magic and from this union Rap-Ture Kamp was formed. The Rap-Ture Kamp buzz was felt throughout California. The release of two mix tapes, “Rap-Ture Kamp Unleashed Volume One” and “Jacking Beats” created a hype that led the Kamp to open shows for Black Sheep, Dead Prez and Lupe Fiasco. Always a standout performer and the only chick representing Rap-Ture Kamp, Ablaze was still not taken seriously by her fellow male group emcees. Destine to be a solo performer, Ablaze broke away from the group scene to follow her dream of bringing real hip-hop back and representing the female emcees.



Always recognized as the hard-hitting tight female emcee from the Kamp opened up the opportunity to work with hit-making producers Battlecat, Dae One, DBG, Steve Dang and Nickel Plate Productions on her long awaited album, “Ablaze - Rebirth of a Female Emcee”. With a style unlike any other female emcee, Ablaze is ready to set fire to the music industry with her strong, versatile delivery, ripping any track whether it be spitting or harmonizing.



Inspired by the Fugees “Fu-Gee-La”, Ablaze is determined and has the discipline to accomplish goals beyond those of Missy Elliott, her major influence, and other influences like Da Brat and Janet Jackson.
