"Abigail Warchild are a Brooklyn-via-Boston quartet that sound like Wolf Parade with Marshall stacks or The Murder City Devils if they'd put out records on Merge. Unafraid of copious distortion but certainly in league with a lot of the new grizzly psych set, the band has just joined the roster at our RCRD LBL label and we're stoked to be putting out four of their tracks today. There are some big guitar sounds amongst these tunes, but we're mainly geeked on their unabashed use of B3, which will hopefully soon become the indie rock version of AutoTune." -RCRD LBL

"Born from the rib of Ace Fu Records band Officer May, Abigail Warchild is a Brooklyn transplant (originally from Boston) that might give all you Greenpoint rockers something to worry about. The band’s well-written tunes walk the line between stony and lean with equal parts agility and recklessness." -Time Out NY

"Abigail Warchild recently relocated from Boston, and we're hoping they do well here in NYC. They're heavy without being gimmicky and stylish without being too precious." - the L Magazine

"Abigail Warchild may not be a “Brooklyn Band” just yet since they’ve only recently relocated from Boston, but what they lack in geographic credentials they make up for with a deep and steady rock sound that exhales soul on every beat. They ain’t jangly, angular, swirling, or any other adjectives that so easily describe a large crop of the bands circulating around the city today. Most refreshingly, they don’t appear to be ironic at all." -The Deli Magazine

"The band has gained a reputation for ending its sets with way more fans than it did when the music started. Fueled by seeds of Sanders' material and a healthy desire to "outsweat each other" onstage, the band lives up to its name: muscular, tuneful songs that come across like battle cries." –jezebelmusic.com

"Mangled diction, primal screams, and syncopated stop-and-go rhythmic dare-devilism suddenly open up to some very listenable, very musical hooks that make their songs more than just thunder and brimstone" –NY2LON
