Etc wears their heart on their sleeve and keeps their music off-the-cuff as they deliver the bittersweet and super-sonic psychopop that's earned them enthusiasts across the world.
The late John Peel credited Ben Etc's guitar-playing as 'spankingly good' and 'noisy. but not too noisy', before Etc went on to gain a place on the BBC's GLOBAL TOP 10 with 'Adolesce' - a song that they were bemused to discover was heralded as 'a masterpiece' by the American DJ and journalist, Paul Zack.
In Singapore, the Straits Times has touted Etc as the most literate band playing in the region - which might be nice, except Etc aren't entirely sure what this means, but at least they were once heartily toasted by the country's controversial but-very-nice Miss Universe 2006 contender. That was nice. Elsewhere, Etc garner praise from around the world, including positive words from members of American Music Club, Buzzcocks, Blur, Flaming Lips, Fugazi, Galaxie 500, Nirvana, Shonen Knife, Sonic Youth and Yo La Tengo.
The 'Etc' name is not an acronym. They prefer it pronounced 'et cetera'. They like it when you dance. And they love it when you sing along.

Factland: Ben Etc used to play guitar for the Joe Ng-fronted Padres, and Malaysian band, Deserters. Harvey Chamberlain can sometimes be heard playing with Indonesia's Songs for the Deaf
