JEAN crash landed on planet Earth at the start of the new Millennium. Since then they have been incubating in a secret location somewhere near Kettering! Drawing inspiration from many sources and a plethora of musicians past and present, JEAN are ready to unleash themselves and their music on the universe.



This phenomenally perfect pop rock package is fronted by lead vocalist Matthew James (AKA Matthew Pateman). He was abducted in early 1995 and replaced on earth by a highly convincing clone. Matthew has been transformed from Boyband Camp to Marshall Amp and is now electrifying audiences with his incredible vocal performance and stage strutting persona.



Matthew and bass player Andy 'Rock God' Nichol are the dynamic duo and the driving force behind JEAN. They have written, produced and created a sound that is highly infectious and incredibly diverse. Andys musical tastes are varied and range from Abba to AC/DC, Bowie to Baccara, Sarstedt to Sparks and Queen to Quo! He lives on Pizza, Jack Daniels and Rock. He also looks mighty fine in a pair of heels! Matthew's musical favourites are as equally scary! Chopin to Carpenters, Timberlake to Tight Fit, Kravitz to the Krankies, Prince to Peters & Lee and Madonna to Malcolm McClaren!



Supersonic beauty Queen Helen adds an incredible vocal performance and atomic presence to JEAN with sex, style and attitude. This platinum beauty with electric legs was beamed onto the JEAN muthaship from the planet Bleach. She is high voltage and is known to rip up the stage with her magnetic performance when here on Earth. Last seen thrashing around on a stage in Christchurch!



Sultry, smooth and sophisticated guitarist Martyn Hope has a penchant for Danish girls and chocolate digestives! This guitar lickin, hip swinging, smooth talking, high walkin stud, plays like a demon, but eats like a Beaver. The sensible member of JEAN survives his rock star lifestyle on organic moon dust and daylight. Often found lurking behind a green door.or ruining people's first dances at weddings (Woo hooo, woo hoo hoo)! We are not sure what planet he hails from but spells his name with a Y.



Sex God and drummer extraordinaire Paul Murphy, was captured in a giant net in a prehistoric forest somewhere near Grantham. Found bemused, naked and illiterate, he soon gave into pleas from the rest of the band when offered a lifetimes supply of Fruit & Nut! Now fully clothed (but still struggling with shoes) Paul drives the band with his explosive drumming and general apathy. Paul Murphy rocks! (Doofdid someone's bum just fall off)?



JEAN are sometimes graced with the frisky fingers (well they were at the Venue back in the 90's) of Chris 'Not So Short' Banks on his acrobatic keyboards!
