A Ballad Alchemy

In the still of winter little is created, most things die or lye sleeping. But in the winter of 2003 something began to grow. Unlike most seeds that do not last the winter, one particular seed thrived in this seemingly desolate season. This was the birth of "A Ballad Alchemy". Inspired by a passion for creation, an appreciation for the unique, and the abilities of song, the four friends of A Ballad Alchemy found within eachother the means to express themselves and the world around them through song. The band is: Chris Parfitt- vox/ guitar; Jeremy Parfitt- Guitar/ vox; John Kirk- Bass/ Double Bass; and Brad Palmer- Percussion. True songsmiths, "A Ballad Alchemy" builds songs with inspired emotion and burried intention. There is empathetic thought behind every lyric and a life’s story in the music itself. With a strange obsession with trees and a habit of demonstrating a sincere regard for the underdog, the band is continually building their loyal fan-base, playing shows, and recording new material. They are always writing and are currently finishing their first-full length album, funded by a willing credit card and a thousand dollars they’ve saved in change over the past eventful year.
