Antiguo Autómata Mexicano (AAM) follows his much lauded Kraut Slut with a new ep, Chez Nobody. The new tracks are an analogous mixture of kraut, minimalist tech and free jazz. AAM has previously released music on the German Background label and on Static Discos. The man behind AAM, Ángel Sánchez Bórges, is also the man behind the abstract electronic pop project Seekers Who Are Lovers. Pitchforkmedia has raved about AAM's previous album: "an evocative sampling of the potential of computer-based minimalism with a handful of fantastic tracks; considered along with Borges' other recent work, the record makes him seem an even more compelling artist worth following closely".

According to Sánchez Bórges, “Chez Nobody is the name of the hall where young people went to dance in Absolute Beginners, the 80‘s film by Julien Temple. The film tells the story of how corporations take over the culture that is generated in the streets and return it as a commodified teen novelty. A tale about of the end of popular culture substituted by the ‘modernism’ of institutionalized interventions. Chez Nobody is the place of no one and everybody, of this and of that, a place where languages fuse and where the need for experiences emerge. A place where all the possible experiences in the world are immediate and forever”. AAM imagined the Chez Nobody ep as an alternate soundtrack for that place.

Chez Nobody is also an attempt by AAM to escape the margins of digital music. It features Sánchez Bórges playing guitar and bass. The EP also features Carlos Icaza (The Fancy Free and Las Comadrejas) on drums. AAM also re-appropriates the brass section of a ghost orchestra found on video fragments inside YouTube. The EP also features remixes from Latinsizer, Cubenx and LOD.
