One of the best and most popular heavy rock acts ever to come out of the former Yugoslavia, OSMI PUTNIK from Split, Croatia successfully combine heavy metal oriented musicianship with the sort of melodic vocals that are as broad in range as they are in emotion. Band was formed in Split, Croatia on 7th of May, 1985. In perod from 1985. to 1989. band recorded three successful albums "Ulicna Molitva" in 1986., "Glasno, glasnije" in 1987. and "Drage sestre moje." in 1988 Zlatan Stipisic, who later embraced the nickname Gibonni and become a biggest pop rock star in Croatia, was the singer and leader of the band in this period.In the midst of war in the former Yugoslavia, band went in the phase of lamentation. After some time apart in which the some members of OSMI PUTNIK performed in other successful projects, 2002. brought the full-on band reunion that fans around the former Yugoslavia were craving.OSMI PUTNIK re-emerge on scene with new singer Dean Clea Brkic, and new guitar player Kristian Barisic Krista, with three original members in fold, Bojan "Bozo Svetac" Antolic on guitars, Davor Dado Gradinski on bass and Mirjan Toso Jovanovic on drums. Realizing that the band was far more than a nostalgia-oriented act, they proceeded to record new album "Ziv i ponosan". Metal, melodic, honest and catchy as ever in 2005., "Ziv i ponosan" is the bands 4th studio album.New, 5th album "Tajna" is OUT NOW!
