Hello welcome to our MySpace we are the Str8 Bangaz a Hip-hop influenced crew/production Company of rappers, singers, and producers originating from the southeastern Virginia area also known as the 7 cities. We are based in the city of Newport News, which is also known in the urban hip-hop community as the city of Badnewz. A definition of our music is “Popular music” it is not pigeonhole in one category we make music from our influences. Being raised in Virginia we have received major influence from two great musical movements. The New York Hip-hop music movement in the late 80’s, thru the 90’s well into current date, and also the southern hip-hop movement thru the late 90’s, 2000’s through current times. So our sound represents a mixture of the northern and the southern hip-hop sound. Traditional foundation of old school, the foundation of lyicalism, with the southern feel hitting 808’s meets new school “The Future”.



The purpose of this bio is to express our current goals for the future, and also provide a brief history of our crew. At this present moment we just finished and dropped our third mixtape called “Back to the future” which is direct representation of our sound. We are currently working on marketing and promotion for this project to reach as many ears as possible. Our goal is to obtain financial backing from a major imprint to be able to distribute our music on a global scale. Str8 Bangaz the crew/production company was founded in early 2007 with founding members consisting of K:B (Rapper, Producer), K Madison (Rapper, producer), Ve*nom (Rapper, Producer), J-temp Singer, and Shavar “Shivvy” Scott (Manager, Executive Producer). And was formed from a previous crew called BE. IN. VA ENT, which had 13 members, but soon the members of this universal crew experienced creative differences causing these members to branch off into there new imprint. Much after the split we completed our first official mixtape “The Movement Vol.1” The Desperation of The Cash flow”, which was produced all on our own made beats. Shortly after the completion of the project Ve*nom decided to break off from Str8 Bangaz Production and start his own imprint. Much after his departure Str8 Bangaz created There Second mixtape called “READY OR NOT” Produced 95% on all our own made beats. With the completion of the project they disturbed 1,000 cds on the streets and offered Internet downloads on MySpace. com, and Datpiff. com.



MAJORITY of our music is on our own

production. We have been doing local shows at clubs in the area to get our sound out more. In June we were selected for The Source Magazine Unsigned tour for Virginia on July 13, 2008, were we performed and continued to work on our mixtape “Back to the Future” which Dropped Oct. 1 2008, which we are currently marketing and promoting at this time.
