Troc Show Diary, 9/12/08



3mi started as a pure funk band in early 2006 with seven members (We used to have a horn section). We also had no originals and no name. We never had a practice where everyone was there. We'd have practices where six out of seven people would be there, then someone would leave. and then the other person, who was missing in the first place, would show up. That got old after a while, so we became a four piece with Ray jumping from tenor sax to keyboards and vocals, and Kev going from trumpet to drums. We wrote our first song, Wrecking Ball, at our first practice as a four piece. Since then, the shows and songs have piled on, we've made lots of new friends and fans, and our first demo, Radio-Active, came out on April 18, 2007 thanks to Burndown Studios. If you want one, leave us a message. We're always looking to play shows. If you need a band, we're your guys. You can help spread the word about 3 Mile Island by telling your friends and family about us, and telling them to do the same. Bring someone who hasn't heard us yet next time you come to a show.
