The city of Miami is synonymous with some of the biggest superstars to bless the rap game today: Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Flo Rida, Pitbull, and a bevy of other talent. From this mold rises a young rapper who is ready to claim a spot alongside Miami-Dade County’s top stars. Young Breed, real name Jarrod Williams, was born and raised in Miami’s inner-city neighborhood Carol City - in a subsection known as Uptown. Born on December of 1986, and with no father around, Breed was raised by his mother and grandmother. He proclaims “As a kid, there were only 2 things I knew; 2 things I could turn to – hustling and music.”

With a passion for rapping and hustling, Breed decided to combine the two and rise above his tumultuous surroundings. At the age of 9, he was already freestyling over old-school classics, and he recorded his first studio track at 13. Breed’s influences include 2Pac, Biggie, and Big Pun, but he counts rappers from Miami and the South as his biggest inspiration. “The M.I.Yayo and the South as a whole had the biggest impact on me. Rick Ross, JT Money, Trick Daddy, and Piccalo were my real influences.”

Now a signee of Rick Ross’s Maybach Music label imprint, and the latest member of Def Jam super-group Triple C’s (Carol City Cartel), Young Breed is poised to showcase his talent to the masses. He continues to define the word “hustle” by dropping mixtapes, releasing records, and working with the likes of Rick Ross, Gunplay, Torch, Brisco, Piccalo, Smoke of Field Mob, Gorilla Tek, Drumma Boy, CP Hollywood, Diaz Brothers, Megabeatz, and many more. Breed is original, diverse, and universal, but he continues to stay humble, determined, and hungry. He says “The most rewarding feeling is hearing my song in the club or radio, or when someone bumps my mixtape in their car. There is no better feeling.”

You can hear Young Breed on the upcoming Triple C’s debut album “Custom Cars and Cycles” under Def Jam/Maybach Music, in-stores Fall of 2009.
