Equal parts catchy synth-pop, sing-along quirks, electro grit and smoky downtempo lounge, Stockholm based sibling trio diabase collective doesn't exactly defy clichéd genre labels, but at least slaps them around a bit. After making music for their own enjoyment in different constellations for almost a decade, they formed diabase collective 2005. And finally, things started sounding just the way they wanted them to. The result is an esoteric mix of styles and influences, with strong melodies and song nerve. They call it "Bombastic lo-fi electro pop experiments. With a twist of lime. And a cherry on top."
