Writers block hits me as I attempt to inform on myself. A knot in your back, no massage can cure. A monthly curse, but happy to have being given by God.
Music was like a bee sting I would often get; a bee that I wasn’t scared of as a little girl during those summer months in New Jersey. A bee that I didn’t run away from; a bee that I kept as my pet.
Music entered my life early, at age six, like the sun in the morning. An indescribable love, if nothing else made sense, it was this: smooth singing in the background, words take over, the mind is captured, and you don’t know why or how.
Born Sade “Ch’Anse” Graham in Bronx, New York 1985, music to the parental ear, watch me do the same to yours; a good spectacle. New Jersey, Florida, now Atlanta, I’ve experienced music of all frames. I can mold music in many ways. Grandma’s church, mommies kitchen, high school talent shows, FSU, graduation and now, still on the mission.
Not at all shy with my handy dandy pen, and with many smarts to list, I choose to entice through my words; done so eloquently, even in this verse.
Few can explain me, so I will leave it up to myself; and since the idea is to get you to know me, what better way.
