It's pronounced "zsha-kahi-rah"… and as a singer and songwriter she is ready to leave her impression on the world everywhere. As entertainment has been a part of her life since a young child, it's by no surprise that Zshakira's talents and abilities come to life as a young adult. From magazine ads, to theatre, to television sitcoms, Zshakira has tasted it all. But it was music that called her soul. She learned in her years spent in church how music can literally change a person's life. Zshakira felt if she could help change someone's life for the good, just by singing, then she would. Wanting to heal people through her music or just provide an escape with her music is her inspiration in songwriting. She knows that her music will definitely touch and change lives. Having been a member of a popular dance group for several years, Zshakira was able to travel the country through many avenues. She has appeared on music awards such as the Soul Train Awards and Essence Awards, traveled a with a 65-city country tour, and appeared on various television shows. Among her resume is Kirk Franklin, Cee Cee Winans, Tri-ni-tee 5:7, Tonex, Fred Hammond, and many more. Her mother, who has always supported her entertainment career believes "The more exposure, the better". And from youth Zshakira has absolutely loved to entertain. Even now, having an agent for commercial, she wants to embark on her acting career in television and film as well. She says "I would love to play Aaliyah in her life story. It would be awsome to play a person that I looked up to as an artist and admired so very much". You can all look forward to Zshakira trend setting in the future of our entertainment industry. She has her purpose before her, and the patients, perseverance, and passion to get her to the top. Having been compared to the likes of Aaliyah and Goapele, believe me… you haven't seen nothing yet!
