Zoe Gilby is a jazz vocalist that has been making a real impression on the jazz scene with her superb interpretations of The Great American Songbook, also encompassing a wide range of contemporary pieces and original material. Zoe recently received funding for a nine date UK tour from Jazz Services Touring Support Scheme and the Arts Council England to promote her new album "Looking Glass"
Performing at prominent venues including Wakefield Jazz Club, Fleece Jazz, Spice Jazz, 606 Club, Ipswich Jazz Cluband, The Jazz Bar, Zeffirellis, Harrogate Jazz Club, Grimsby Jazz, Schmazz @ The Cluny and at international jazz festivals in Cork, Derry, Gateshead, Glasgow, Keswick, Lichfield, Southport and Marsden.
In Spring 2010 Zo� recorded “Looking Glass” on the jazzaction label. Featuring her quintet that Zo� tours the UK with. The composers range from Ellington to Tom Waits to originals from Zo� and Andy Champion. This is “The Great American Songbook” and beyond ……
In Jan 2007, Zo� recorded her debut album 'Now That I am Real' with arrangements by the renowned drummer Tony Faulkner. This album has received radio play from Courtney Pine’s Jazz Crusade on BBC Radio 2, Spain, UK, Australia, U.S.A, Belgium, and France and from BBC Radio Ulster in Northern Ireland
