Zippo & Haldern Pop suchen dein Feuer



Seit dem Jahr 2005 stöbern Zippo, der Hersteller des elementaren

Feuerzeugs, und Haldern Pop, die kleine, international renommierte

Festivalmanufaktur, Talente in den "europäischen Kellern" auf und geben

jährlich vier von ihnen die Chance, beim Haldern Pop Festival im

Spiegelzelt aufzutreten.

2005 war unter den Gewinnern Daniel Benjamin aus dem Schwarzwald, dessen

Album wenig später über Haldern Pop Recordings veröffentlicht wurde. Er

ist auch einer von nur drei deutschen Künstlern, die zum diesjährigen

Great Escape in Brighton, dem neuen Talentmarkt Europas, eingeladen wurden.



Miracle Cure aus Liverpool/Manchester, die 2006 zu den vier auserwählten

Bands gehörten, waren im Februar 2007 im Halderner Tonstudio Keusgen, um

Demos aufzunehmen. Mit dabei war Joe Hirst, der schon u.a. für Bloc

Party und Chemical Brothers die Regler schob.

Nach den beiden erfolgreichen Jahren von Zippo Flaming Talents und der stetig wachsenden Teilnehmerzahl wollen wir dieses Modell fortführen, aber auch modifizieren. Mit Myspace.com als Partner werden wir die Bewerbung um einen der vier Festivalslots des Haldern Pop Festivals über dieses MySpace-Profil entgegennehmen.



Brauner Microphones und Zippo Flaming Talents



Die Manufaktur Brauner Microphones ist seit 2004 offizieller Partner des Haldern Pop Festivals und leitet, zusammen mit Apple, die Aufnahmen im Spiegelzelt. Ob Peter Gabriel, Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Puff Daddy, Steven Spielberg, Quincy Jones. sie alle lieben und schätzen die handgefertigten Mikrofone vom Niederrhein.

Zippo & Haldern Pop want your fire



Since 2005 Zippo and Haldern Pop have been seeking out new talent in the rehearsal rooms and basements of Europe. A successfull collaboration between the manufacturer of the essential lighter and a small, internationally acclaimed festival organisator, which provides four new talents every year with the possibility to play a slot in the famous spiegel tent at the Haldern Pop Festival in the Lower Rhine Area of Germany.



Back in 2005 it was the "young, gifted bard " Daniel Benjamin from the Black Forest who collected the first prize. He has since earned a recording contract and an invitation to the Great Escape in Brighton, the internationally renowned showcase festival, hosted by the Barfly club franchise and Glastonbury Festival. Just three German artists were asked to participate at this musical summit in Brighton in May.



Last year the Liverpudlian / Mancunian foursome The Miracle Cure won one of the four slots in the Rolling Stone Mirror Tent at the Haldern Pop Festival. The four Brits recently recorded fresh demo tapes in Haldern’s Keusgen studio with Joe Hirst, otherwise to be found at the mixing desk for Bloc Party, Chemical Brothers and Futureheads.

After two successfull years of Zippo Flaming Talents we want to keep going, but with some modifications. With MySpace.com as a partner we will take entries for one of the four festival slots only via this MySpace-profile.

Brauner Microphones has been a partner of Haldern Pop for 3 years now and, in cooperation with Apple, takes care of all live recordings in the Spiegeltent.

Brauner's hand made microphones vom the Lower Rhine Area of Germany are used by artists like Peter Gabriel, Sting, Lenny Kravits, Puff Daddy, Steven Spielberg, Quincy Jones, .

The first place band will also receive a Brauner "Phantom"-Microphon handed out by Dirk Brauner himself, 4 days in the sound studio Keusgen in Haldern and a possible record deal with Haldern Pop Recordings
