"What a difference a year can make. The shoegazing mood swings of Zelda Pinwheel’s earlier material have segued into a dense post-prog sprawl on the new For Safekeeping Warm. The Philly-Jersey armada opens with the creepy marathon “Deathcamp Jamboree,” summoning King Crimson and Yes by way of Yo La Tengo. Then “Hands off My Parade” adopts shades of heavy blues, still burying the vocals and keeping the bass way up front, whereas “Puente for Dummies” is a left-field stab at samba. These guys clearly have ambition to burn, and yet somehow their mining of such varied terrain never dispels the shadows and fog clinging to every single song." (Doug Wallen-Philadelphia Weekly)
