Zaze Music

Zaze began flowin’ on the local party scenes and kickin’ it back with friends for a good time when he was 16. From that point on, Zaze had the continuous burning passion for music. He never would be the one to take it too serious, but had a deep love for it and found it next to impossible to survive without it.

Zaze first started recording songs with his childhood friend, P-Flex, calling them selves P&B Productions. From the small time frame in which the boys began P&B Productions they created clever tracks like “Kill’em Wit the Noise”. As their passion for music grew, Zaze and P-Flex hooked up with a fellow school mate, Theory a.k.a “The Dish”. Together they formed their first real group called Northern Alliance. One small milestone after another, the boys from Northern Allicance performed for the first time at Durham College with local hip hop act ROM Records.

After their first show, with raving confidence, young Zaze began writing down his rhymes which lead to binders, books, and shoeboxes full of lyrics. In 2004 Zaze released his first mixtape titled “M.I.A.”, which sold a few hundred copies. This was the streets' first taste of Zaze and sign of many good things to come.

Soon after, Northern Alliance changed their name to “Alliantz Fam” and recruited their fourth member, Ricky Raid. The boys played their first show together under their new name in 2005 at the Vibe Nightclub in Peterborough. This is where they first met Peter Jackson, K-Stu, Young Bucks and Danny Boy Entertainment. Not too long after they did many collaborations, Zaze and P-Flex took a break from Alliantz Fam to pursue bigger opportunities with new found group 90Nickel alongside Peter Jackson and K-Stu.

As time went on, strong friendships and the relationship as business partners began to grow. Zaze, P-Flex, Peter Jackson, and K-Stu formed 90Nickel Cartel & Entertainment. Their first perfomances as a group came at an industry competition at Le Skratch nightclub in Oshawa featuring 8 other local talents to win a booking contract and bragging rights. Although underdog to Metro Zoo who was later found to have had a representative as one of the judges,90Nickel went face to face with them in the finals and after heated crowd reaction and dispute 90nickel had won the competition and the supposed booking contract against all odds. Things were starting to feel like they were on the right track until meeting with Blueprint Agency and finding out that agreements were not properly made and no booking contract was guaranteed without having a full album released to promote and represent. Although a setback this only made the boys of90nickel hungrier and unwilling to settle with what they had just been through.

The year of 2006 was full of live performances around the GTA. Making their mark in the local area, the boys of 90Nickel opened for big names such as Beenie Man and Lloyd Banks in an effort to spread the word and music they have been dilligently producing. Their passion and hunger had become more present and evident than ever proving to those who doubted that they will continue working hard until they achieve the dream of success.

2007, 2008 provided more very necessary stepping stones along thier path. They continued with opening for major artists, only adding to the list of true legends of hip hop. The list includes Joe Buddens May.18th 2007 @ The Big Sexy Nightclub In Oshawa, Richboy @ Le Skratch nightclub in Oshawa, Nas In September 2007 @ The Center of the square in Kitchener, The Wu Tang Clan Nov.30th 2007 @ The Big Sexy Nightclub In Oshawa, at which U-God, Raekwon and Gza were picked up at the airport and shown how the boys of 90 hold it down before bringing them over to a press conference @ Durham college and then to the venue to destroy the crowd that night. Krs-One March 7th, 2008 @ The Big Sexy Nightclub In Oshawa. Krs was also picked up by Zaze and Peter Jackson @ the Royal York Hotel and taken care of by the cartel until the official showtime. Video footage of this day can be found in many places by types "a 90nickel day wit krs one". The biggest opportunity Zaze and the boys have come across had just been completed recently when Zaze, Peter Jackson and their DJ Risko went across Canada on tour with D-12, Royce Da 5'9, Joe Buddens and Classified for their first tour opportunity of their young lives. The reaction they received was unreal as people could not have been more pleasantly surprised as the boys did what they were born to do and lit up the crowd in every city they were given the chance. These cities included, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Medicine Hat, Banff, Calgary, Lethbridge, Fort Mcmurray, Penticton, and regretfully Vancouver was canceled. With their first taste of tour life leaving them hungry for more the boys will be back on the road doing 15 shows in 3 weeks with Naughty By Nature beginning this February 2009.

90nickel has also been on a steady grind dropping mixtape after mixtape frequently from each of their artists and does not have any intentions on slowing down until they are heard and respected world wide. 90Nickel has released the following to this date :
