Sir Wine believes that, “The industry is watered down, its BS, its too mu
ch of the same stuff, its no talent… Nobody’s talented these days,” and as a result of not hearing the music he could relate to, he decided to take matters into his own hands. He hasn’t looked back since.
“My style of music is very sarcastic…I’ve been told it’s a different kind of humor.” Sir Wine strives to produce music for everyone to enjoy. Music that encourages ignorance is not his style. Instead, Sir Wine tells the stories of “real” people and allows his fans to take what they need from each track without loosing the message at large.
Sir Wine’s career started like everyone else’s. All he wanted was to do something and be somebody. However, it wasn’t until a young lady encouraged him to pursue an education at FAMU , thus resulting in his relocation to Tallahassee, FL. Since that moment he has simply been unstoppable.
Being in Tallahassee afforded Sir Wine with the opportunity to work with industry moguls like T. Pain, Gorilla Zoe, Pastor Troy and Lil Boosie. He has been included on mix tapes, including DJ Evil Empire, DJ Smallz, DJ Woogie “Trapaholics” and “The Cartel” . After being cosigned by DJ Smallz as the future of Florida, Sir Wine has been showing off his lyricist side while producing his own music.
As a ghostwriter for some of the industry key players, his work has been compared to Kanye West but with a southern twist! Sir Wine ‘s music can be compared to artists like Wiz Kahlifa, Currency, Big Krit and Wale, however, his music speaks about the his reality. “I talk about what most people deal with. Bills, jail, hard times and trying to be successful… the everyday hustle.”
Ultimately, his talent and perseverance is undeniable. Sir Wine is respected by mix tape DJs World-Wide yet to sign any contracts. He is currently working on a project co-produced by Grammy winners and Outkast’s in-house producers, Royal Flush.
