Introduction
It's said that the spiritual legacy received from one's homeland is equal to
the influence of one's own parents. The Young Silencers' identity is strongly
connected to the melancholy essence of the land where they were brought
up. It was at the end of 1999 that Fabio and Alessio started getting together
with Matteo at his house, and that's where the band’s beginnings can be
traced back to.
Two years went by, during which David and Mario took part in the project.
The result was a demo that enabled the band to perform in the few clubs.
The band became a refuge for the five friends, something extremely valuable,
that west beyond the pleasure of playing together.
2003. Towards the end of high school. It's the year when everything changes
and takes on a new form; the year of growth, the mind-opener.
then Alessio was killed in a car accident and in an instant everything seemed
to have been destroyed. A difficult year began. The niche that the band had
formed became more and more an untouchable tribute to a lost friend;
The next two years were full of concerts, and the band played all around
Italy, receiving positive feedback everywhere, until, in June 2004, The
Young Silencers debuted in an split album with Bad(Love)Experience and
produced by GrowingDownRecords and HotMovie Records. During the same
year, the cd was launched in Japan and distributed by DiskUnion.
Still in 2004, The Young Silencers took part in two compilations:
'Downloader vol.1' of InconsapevoleRecords (with Vanilla Sky, Shandon,
Forty Winks, Beer Bong, Seed'n'feed.) and 'Strike the punks!' produced and
distributed by the Japanese BellsOnRecords/DiskUnion (with Ten Foot Pole,
Five Days Off, Friday Star.).
In 2005 Mario left the band, and his role was taken up by Julian,
an American-Italian. The following year, The Young Silencers went
into the recording studio under the guidance of famed producer Frank Andiver (Labyrinth, Oracle Sun, Wonderland, Anger), with whom they record their first full-length album, "Limbs", mixed and mastered by the guru of Californian
sound, Darian Rundall (Yellowcard, Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies).
It was releasede in January 2007 by Nerd Sound Records/Ammonia Records and
distributed by Edel.
Julian left the band in September 2008 to go to live in New York.
So Mario comes back to the family for the new songs writing.
