Young Renz

When you see the name, "Young Renz" what do you think? Most think of a simple rap name. But for Lorenzo Moody, it is way more then that. Lorenzo Moody was born April 22, 1991, in the inner city of Chicago, Illinois. Raised prodomently by his mother and grandmother, he always sought music as his escape from the harsh realities of the poverty stricken neighborhood he was a custom to. He gives great credit to his mother and grandmother for making sure he never started or accepted that life style. To seek a better life and greater opportunities, him and majority of his family relocated to Milwaukee, Wi. There is were he received most of his schooling and a greater love for music. This is when he also got involved in a variety of sports, prodomently basketball and football.

Middle school is when Lorenzo started trying to perfect his craft. This is when he started writing his music down and rapping over instrumentals. He found himself doing it all day, everyday. He formed a rap group with two cousins and from there they found themselves rapping into a karaoke machine making demo tapes. They would freestyle whole songs, make multiple tapes and pass them out to local neighbors. Since their attempts at early success failed, the group disbanded. Lorenzo might not of rapped as much after that point but never stopped writing. In high school Lorenzo joined a music program located in Milwaukee. This is when he was able to showcase his talent in front of a group of other teenagers who all had a common love.; music. Only in the second week in the program, he recorded a song with fellow group members. This song was later played on Homer Blows radio station on WNOV. This gave Lorenzo a great boost of confidence in his music. Since joining the program Lorenzo has recorded four full length mix tapes and known throughout Milwaukee as one of the better rappers. He is known for his clever lyrics and his out going and fun look on music.
