Fonzo was born in Birmingham, UK 1984, he quickly achieved an early start in music after being taught the fundamentals from his cousin from Orlando, FL on a family vacation at the age of 8. Growing up under the name Young P. Money he continued to develop his music through writing his own material to popular industry recordings as well as writing for others and studying music technology. With age the life experience's and musical content also developed as Fonzo had developed a distinctive style through travel to NY (the home of Hip-Hop), implementing key ideals from the UK urban background, and also Jamaican culture thus presenting a unique style.
These attributes go to making him a standing out rapper from the UK. His style boasts an interesting blend of Americanisms, patois, British wordplay, along with production that's is experimental (elements of psychedelic rock, funk, hip-hop, new wave and soul). Fonzo's style is similar to none and he shows the ability to contextualize songs and tell a story through his music. Within a few months of releasing independent mix-tapes he had garnered a vast underground fan-base and built strong connections local and worldwide consisting of such industry heavyweights as G-Unit's platinum producer Sha Money XL, UK's number 1 Award winning Disk Jockey Tim Westwood, Hip-Hop mogul and business entrepreneur Percy "Master P" Miller.
