Young Huss, also known as “R. Franklin Hustle”, was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Huss began rapping early on, Beat Boxin, for friends in the

neighborhood. Huss’ influences while growing up were Ice Cube, N.W.A., Scarface, GETO Boys, Kool “G” Rap, Big Daddy Kane, & Run DMC. After run-ins with police, Huss attended Barber College and received a license to cut hair.

To avoid trouble, he relocated to Los Angeles in ’96 to promote his talents as an artist/writer. Huss describes his style as Southern/West Coast. In 2000, Huss performed with live band “Ghost Team” and performed all across Los Angeles. In late 2000 to 2002, Huss joined the group “N-Kroud Kliq” and was one-third of the L.A. based trio which completed an album “Kroud Elation” and performed all across the Los Angeles area, from the Valley to Long Beach, as well as gigs in Northern California. He also placed a single called “Black and Brown Pride” on the War Zone Records compilation “Best From The West”.

May 2003, Huss returned to Oklahoma to pursue his solo career and to complete his solo debut “Off Ya Ass And On Ya Feet”, containing the slammin’ single “If U Want 2” which received several spins on Tulsa Oklahoma’s 105.3 F.M. and 101.5 F.M., while performing all across the Tulsa area.

November 2003, Huss opened for “Ying Yang Twins” at Club 3 Frogs and for “Chingy” at Club Outlaw Ranch. Late 2003, Huss and his group “N-Kroud Kliq” recorded the song “Ridin’, Rollin’”, which was placed on the soundtrack of the motion picture “Scary Movie 3”.

With his solo career still intact, in early 2004, Huss opened for “Lil Scrappy” at the Greenwood Cultural Center in Tulsa Oklahoma. In October of 2004, Huss opened back to back shows for Lloyd Banks of “G-Unit” in Oklahoma City at the Coca Cola Center and at Club Outlaw Ranch in Tulsa.

Late October 2004, Huss returned to Los Angeles to continue his career, recording tracks for his mix tape album entitled, “Young Huss – The Mix Tape And Stuff”.

In 2005, Huss recorded and shot a video for the single entitled “Formal Invitation”. February 2006, he recorded the single “Crooked Letter” which landed a spot on the soundtrack for the motion picture “Scary Movie 4”. Huss has also placed two singles, “Til the Engine Stops” and “Feelin Me” in the B.E.T. movie “Flip the Script, which is presently airing on B.E.T. Huss also has the club banger “Hula Hoop”. He has shot a video for the single and is performing frequently throughout the Los Angeles area. The song has also received spins on L.A.’s, 96.3 Latin/Hip-Hop Mix Show with DJ Classic.
