Rocking the World of Musical Movies!
We are pleased to announce that our lead singer, Emiel, has been hard at
work composing 16 original songs for a rock musical movie. The movie,
which is currently in development, is called Hansel & Gretel ROCKS.
The film is a special effects filled action adventure, in the style of Harry Potter.
In May Emiel attended the Cannes Film Festival, where the movie was
presented at the Cannes Producers Network.
Hansel & Gretel ROCKS has been chosen as as one of only 10 projects to be
presented at the Eurasia Film Financing Market in Russia, where Emiel recently
represented the film.
In October, Emiel traveled to London where the movie
project was selected for presentation at the London Film Production Finance Market.
In addition, Hansel & Gretel Rocks has also been selected for the CINEKID International Film Festival's Film Finance Forum in Amsterdam.

This is the music video for the hit single 'See You Again' off of YELLOW PEARL'S Debut Album, "The Rebel In You."
It appeared for 14 straight weeks on MTV's European Television affiliates.
BIOGRAPHY
The rock band YELLOW PEARL is named after a hit song of the same name by Phil Lynott [Founder and lead singer of rock legend Thin Lizzy]. They have performed in venues across Europe as well as in the United States. Currently residing in The Netherlands, they have lived in both New York City and Los Angeles, California.
Their song ‘For You and Me’ was selected as a finalist for the 2004 Netherlands National Song Festival. The festival was broadcast on European television and seen by millions of viewers. This performance was the impetus that led to Yellow Pearl being discovered, and signed to a multi-single deal with the SONY BMG music label.
The first single released was ‘For You And Me’ which immediately shot up to 26 on the European Pepsi Music Charts. The song became a fan favorite. It received extensive European Radio airplay where it remained on the music charts for over ten weeks.
All of this momentum culminated with the inclusion of ‘For You and Me’ on the album “HitZone 27,” alongside songs by Kylie Minogue, The Black Eyed Peas and Alicia Keys. “HitZone 27” is a compilation of hit songs. It is the European version of America’s “NOW That’s What I Call Music,” which is a compilation of hit American songs.
‘For You and Me’ was also chosen to appear in Love Songs Top 100. This 5 Disk CD Set contains 100 of the World’s Top love songs from the past five decades. Yellow Pearl’s music was in the company of such industry greats as Santana, Van Morrison and Simon and Garfunkel. Their follow up single ‘Don’t Hold Me Down’ enjoyed great success as well. It appeared on the music charts for twelve straight weeks. As a band that is consistently in high demand, they have performed over 400 gigs in three and a half years. In between their very hectic schedule they have still made time to give back to the world community. Teaming up with the Red Cross and top Dutch radio station 3FM, Yellow Pearl volunteered to be auctioned off to perform a private concert in one lucky fan’s living room! The proceeds from the auction went to the 3FM/Red Cross fundraising event, “A Serious Request for Congo.” The event was a success, and the following year they were requested back, to be auctioned off again. Shortly thereafter, Yellow Pearl performed at a benefit concert to raise money for the victims of the 2005 Tsunami.
Their live performances reached a career high when they were selected to be the only opening act for rock legend Thin Lizzy (‘Whiskey in the Jar,’ and ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’), on their 20/20 European tour. Yellow Pearl performed in front of an audience of thousands at the legendary music venue, The Paradiso Amsterdam, which has been host to such world renowned acts as The Rolling Stones, Prince and U2.
Yellow Pearl has continued to thrive as a performing band, appearing at such music festivals as the Black MotoCross (3 day Woodstock style event with an audience of over 60,000 people, featuring over 30 international music acts), Trailer Pop (3 Day music festival with an audience between 40,000-60,000 people, featuring the Top Dutch Music Acts) and Parkfeest (3 Day Event with an audience between 55,000 – 70,000 people).
Yellow Pearl had the honor of being invited to perform on the popular, long-running BBC television series, “Top of the Pops.” This music television cornerstone showcased performances from top-selling recording artists. Yellow Pearl’s appearance was all the more special as it took place during the final season of this prestigious series. “Top of the Pops” has been host to such music industry icons as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Madonna.
They are featured on the 60th Anniversary Compilation CD Set of the music radio show “Arbeidsvitaminen.” This show holds the record in the Guiness Book of World Records for being the longest nationally broadcasted radio program in the history of radio.
Recently, Yellow Pearl released their debut album entitled “The Rebel In You”, under the European music label Flow Records. Stephen Van Haestregt, member of the European Platinum Selling Alternative Rock Band, Within Temptation, produced this project for the band. The strings arrangement for “The Rebel In You” was recorded by the Barrandov Orchestra in the city of Prague. This orchestral ensemble performed the Academy Award-Winning Score of the motion picture Dances With Wolves.
The album’s first hit single ‘See You Again,’ is a European Top-Ten hit. The music video appeared for 14 weeks on MTV’s European Television affiliates. It was followed up by the second hit single, the frequently requested ‘Already Over You,’ which enjoyed similar success.
