One of today’s hottest up-and-coming artist hailing out of Orlando, Florida. Dred Yella, formerly known as YellaBoy is a force to be recogned with. The oldest of five kids Dred Yella was rushed into manhood early in life. Originally from the crime infested streets of Kansas City, Missouri he had only two choices, run with the streets or get ran over by the streets. Due to running with gangs and dealing drugs his mother sent him to live with his uncle at age 13. Relocating to Pine Hills in Orlando, Florida it would change nothing. There he met all the people he needed to meet to continue the same lifestyle, but this is where he learned that he had a talent for rapping.



Dred Yella was constantly rapping with his running mates on the block to entertain each other while selling drugs. He sharpened his verbal skills and not knowing polished his delivery and ability to make good music. At age 19 Dred Yella was signed to the indie label Dirty Money Records as Ronnie Redd. Dropping county wide hits such as “When I come”, “Packing heavy metal” and “Cross-town Bound” he gained another reputation, but for the ability to give the streets what they want, good gutta music. At age 22 Dred Yella ventured out on his own after experimenting with several different groups that failed. He dropped a mixtape titled “Welcome to Orlando” hosted by Desert Storm and Core DJ’s Dj Greg G. Selling over 35,000 copies once again he was back on the scene, but now as YellaBoy. Putting out hits like “Down in the O” and “Killa Shit”, the name YellaBoy was grabbing attention. Along with “Down in the O” and “Killa Shit” on the same mixtape was a song featuring Treal “Mingle” and “Sexi Erotic” which was a song that gained all the female fans imaginable. Dred Yella was featured in the 06’ BCR Special Edition of Ozone Magazine. Dred Yella change his name due to the many people who called themselves YellaBoy.



On March 17, 2007 Dred Yella was in an accident two days after performing with Pretty Ricky and Dj Unk putting him in a coma. Putting his career to a major setback. But shortly after being released from the hospital Dred Yella was asked to be feature on DJ Greg G’s mixtape and recorded “Look at me now”. Since then Dred Yella has been working on new material and is ready to return on the scene once more. Known for his cant get them out of your head hooks and diverse lyrical talents, Dred Yella has widespread commercial appeal that has caught the attention of many in the industry including Arista, Universal, and Epic records. Club owners, promoters and radios stations are eager to feature his talent. He has performed along side of Pretty Ricky, DJ Unk, Pastor Troy and many more. With aspirations to get back on track and doing as many shows as before and back in the view of major labels. Dred Yella has a soon to be released street album appropriately titled “The Return: By any means necessary.” Due to drop summer 09’. Exhibiting his great versatility and creativity and gift for creating hits, this time he will be back and for good by the grace of GOD.
