Frank Muthafuckin' D.



Frank D. was born and raised in San Francisco, California by his Russian-speaking family who came to the United Stated from the Soviet Union in 1979. Born February 17th, 1986, Frank D. has always been into music. When he was only 10 years old, his dad gave him a Tupac Shakur tape, and he listened to it over and over till he knew all the words. At 12,he was freestyle rapping with some of the neighborhood kids. He found that his skill level kept increasing the more and more he practiced. He eventually would freestyle at his high school rallies and in the football locker room after practice, and found that he was usually better than his competitors. Eventually, he started writing and recording his songs, and the rest is history. In 2004, Frank D. joined forces with East Oakland rapper, K-Dubb and started their group "Yay Area Connect." The two rappers put out 2 albums and did countless shows and concerts. In 2006, Frank D. appeared in E-40's video, "Tell Me When To Go" as well as B.E.T's "Hype on Hyphy." In late 2007, Frank D. felt it was time to do go solo and make his own music, but him and K-Dubb still remained friends.In the summer of 2008, Clear Channel Communications' radio station "WILD 94.9" played his song "Pro Fessional" for the first time, and he is currently working on his first solo album which still remains unnamed. Frank D. is revolutionizing the rap game by sometimes incorporating his own R&B-style singing with his up-tempo energetic rap skills to create a unique and uplifting sound which separates him from most artists in the rap genre. Even when there's no singing on his songs, Frank D. still always manages to create his own unique and melodic sound.
