In case no one has known (or obviously noticed), we've been broken up for a while now. We all had our random opinions and jags, and now we haven't played in months.

Leeor is playing in a band Any Day Now signed to DCMA records.

Brandon is playing in this fusion/indie band.

I talk to Tyler the most now.

I've been in school & work, and in the middle of forming a punk band with friends.

As much as I appreciate the mucho labels emailing me expressing desperation and requesting studio time, the promoters attempting to put us on gigs, the people in the east coast and japan who love us (for two songs?), and everyone else that has been to our dumb little cobalt shows, or purchased a demo i just burned from a computer, I personally don't think anything can be done. We all parted our separate ways due to personal and professional issues.

Hopefully someday we will all come together, realize the reason we played our music, and actually record all those songs we had promised a long time ago; thus we would probably be getting back together.

Thanks for everything that everybody has done for Yakuza Slaughter.

-Amir

We are Yakuza Slaughter.

Yakuza Slaughter formed right at the breakup of vocalist Amir Jafari's previous band, Festus. With Eric Arso on drums, and Leeor on guitar, the band was once known as "Revel". Sooner later changed to "Embodiment", and then changed to Yakuza Slaughter due to the fact that there already was another lame ass metal band named Embodiment. The three's influence on technical drift inside music brought upon the startup of a new band. Without a bassist, Yakuza Slaughter released their first EP, "Between Victim & Assailant," which contained 7 minutes of hardcore-punk-influenced grind. As soon as Eric Arso was no longer in the band, Jeremy Tisser had joined up. With Tisser's drumming abilities, Yakuza Slaughter was able to write faster pulsating riffs, with powerful noise combined with the art of vocalist Amir's lyrical novels. They had started to record a second EP. They ended up recording "The TubGirl Effect," at the time which Brandon Loulias took up bass. Conflicts occured between Jeremy and the band, and Jeremy was discontinued from having a drummer position. The band is currently working on a full-length, which will be the basis of music that has cycled through their brains, and played out.

We don't limit ourselves to just one specific genre, considering we all have grown up with the likes of Frank Zappa, Chuck Berry, The Germs, and influenced by more recent acts like Converge, Anal Cunt, Isis, Botch, and Dillinger Escape Plan. The lyrics are not meant to offend those who understand abstract phases, but to emphasize the situations we tend to pull off as life goes on. We're not intending to send a message, but an embrace on advice and future markups. We also play way domearific shows. Twice.
