Lioness

Picture this; a 14 year old girl spitting bars in her room, a group of guys walk past her house and hear her through her open window, they form a group, she blows up and the rest as they say is history.



Sounds like the stuff movies are made of right? Well this is no movie just the story of rising star Lioness, South’s very own queen of the jungle.



Lioness started out at the tender age of 14 after being influenced by family members firmly involved in the then young grime scene, true fans will know it as the old school garage phase. After sharpening her writing tools Lioness and three others formed MYT (Mastermind Youth Team), her witty lyrics, skilled wordplay and versatile flow ensured it wasn’t long before she joined her brother and cousins and became the first lady of the Mastermind Trooperz.



From then on Lioness was the name on everybody’s lips, radio sessions on stations such as On Top FM and Raw Blaze cemented Lioness’ presence on the underground and not one to back away from a challenge, the classic clash which resulted in the infamous ‘Xtra Xtra Read All About It’ further proved that Lioness was the female MC.



Lioness’ reputation as not only a top female MC but a top MC in the game continued to grow, with appearances on Radio 1, Kiss 100 and one 1Xtra with fellow Trooper, Bearman. With verses in videos such as, Rep Ur Endz – South, Don’t Talk and Phuture Journey, Lioness showed that she had style as well as talent.



After a two year blaze through the grime scene Lioness took time out to concentrate on her education, making sure that when she makes her money, she’ll have more than enough knowledge to maintain it.



However there’s only so long a Lioness can go without getting back into the jungle and with the gap she left in the scene still vacant, the world is more than ready for the second coming of Lioness, or are they?.Wellwe’ll soon see.



She’s already written in the starsguess it’s just time for the world to catch up
