Always had a passion for music ever since a child, come from a creative family so always around art and media, and grew up listening to a wide range of music from guns and roses to cypress hill and drum and bass.

Always been on stage performing one way or another, been in competitions for singing and dancing and even little beauty competitions something like miss england and always enjoyed a part in a school play, she even had to play cilla black. G:Nee has been singing ever since she was little and has never had any lessons, She fulfilled one of her dreams at an early age, which was to sing at the Royal Albert Hall. The 17 year old has always been a writer, at the age of 10 she got a poem published.



G:Nee started to write lyrics to drum n bass and garage in early 2002 and progressed from there, always searching for more inspiration and joined a rap battling group to help her with her skills, she joined a crew called the "Sik Youthful Talents aka SYT"and mc'd along to drum n bass with her fellow crew members MC Essence and Reepzi. They also had regular battles with other crews to boost confidence and skills. After the SYT she left the rap battles in late 2003 and joined "Mixed Skills Combined" with both MC ReMiXx(Please visit his my space.www.myspace.com/remixx) and Missin' Page, having a close relationship with them both they all helped each other in improving their techniques, but seeing that they all wanted to go seperate ways in trying to reach their goals they decided to split, but still kept close contact still to this day. Trying to seek more improvment, she looked to her cousin Peter AKA "Nu Flo" who mc's to drum n bass asking for some tips, he had a talk saying she needs to improve on her timing and try to give off more energy. Taking this into perspective she took his tips very seriously and come up with her very 1st serious track "You Don't Know Who I Am" in November 2004. being very proud of her 1st track she showed it to all her friends and family and getting a good reaction she decided to make a 2nd track "How I Roll".



Having told that she had good skills from various different people she got told about a radio called "1xtra" saying that she could send in a demo CD and be put onto the website. She took her chance and sent both her tracks into the studio and checking the website a month later her name was up with her own webpage, up against 4 more candidates. As all candidates were very talented it was hard to try to beat them all, sadly she didn't get her tracks played on the radio but being 2nd place was good enough.



The word broke out in her school that her tracks were on the website of the BBC 1Xtra and people started to ask questions and seemed suprised. The word reached the best DJ in school DJ Moulie, and being the only Femcee in the school he asked if she would like to do a set with him. Seeing a chance to get a little known around her area she took it and the set was a success. Wanting more of the fame the continued to help DJ's out in their party sets and even had a slot on an internet radio with various DJ's and MC's, getting used to the fact that she was the only Femcee she enjoyed the fact that she felt she had a space as a real MC.



Carrying on with the MC'ing in summer 2005 even her form tutor at school had heard about her talent and organized an assembly about music which she was going to perform two of her tracks. Catching peoples attention the crowd seemed to be getting bigger. She had her 1st taste of fame and enjoyed all of it. Having liked the performance other tutors from the school even asked if she would perform in their assembleys, helping them out she also got her best friend involved "BooYaH" AKA "Boo" and got her joined in with the fame.



In 2006 she's finally on the next step to try and get further as she starts her college course in Music technology in september. But also on the other hand she has stepped up a gear in getting her name known around the Hertfordshire areas, on 10th May 2006 she hosted her 1st event in the X Zone bar. Then just a few days after she guested on a show on an internet radio called PhatBeats (www.phatbeats.net ). Also watch out for a DVD coming soon called "On Da Rise" all about up and coming artists G:Nee will be featured on it, there will also be known artists on the DVD, and watch out for another DVD coming out soon about Producers, Red Skull (G:Nee's Producer) will be taking over.
