Xplicit Desi Vibes (XDV) is an association that has been established by two hard working and stimulated individuals, Vimal Patel (DJ Desiplaya) & Prerak Patel (DjP), whose goal is to promote and bring forth the best South Asian music that today's generation has to offer. Since the creation of Xplicit Desi Vibes, the duo added two more DJs to their production crew: Andrew Ramsaran of Delaware (DJ Mashup) and Rahul Kedia of New Orleans (DJ India). And recently Xplicit Desi Vibes also added Abhishek Kinger of India (DJ @bhi) to their roster, making them a true international crew!
Their music can be heard around the world by thousands of fans, mixing the latest of urban tracks along with the hottest South Asian tracks. These young DJs are, without a doubt, tomorrow’s music elite. They have created an impressive remix of tracks and now are moving forward to promoting and producing music along side with some of the biggest up and coming South Asian artist such as: Ajaxxx, Don Revo, G-Deep, Kaly, Ranjini, Raja Wilco, Young Pharaoh; crossing into the U.K., XDV has worked with artists such as Drilla Kid, Kami K, and Menis. It with much pleasure that Xplicit Desi Vibes is excited to announce that we will be working hand-in-hand with Times Music recording artist Ishq Bector (India), Canada’s most renowned DJ/producer, Baba Kahn.
After linking up with Tirusha – who quickly became their Marketing Director/Publicist – Xplicit Desi Vibes was able to take their musical talents to another level as they released "i-Desi," in December of 2006. "i-Desi," is an album which fuses together the musical culture from the United States with that of the U.K. This album is unlike any other South Asian album heard before, and features such artists as Sona Family, Uzazi Productions, AKY, and Rishi Rich to name a few. After the success of "i-Desi," Xplicit Desi Vibes received so much recognition their Marketing Director was featured on The Jump Off, on BBC Asian Radio Show, hosted by Mentor Kolektiv. Talk about making some moves!
From there on, Xplicit Desi Vibes also made an appearance on NiteLife Radio, the hottest South Asian radio show on the East Coast. Traveling down south to Texas, GenerAsian Radio has featured tracks produced by DJ Desiplaya (Vimal Patel). And their recognition doesn't end here. When "i-Desi," was released, the hype was also written about in Desi NJ, a highly circulated South Asian magazine in New Jersey.
Xplicit Desi Vibes can proudly hold their heads up high and say that they are the 1 South Asian remix & production crew in the United States. With heavy rotation not only in US-based Desi stations, but also rotation in the U.K. and India, XDV is truly becoming an international name.
