Xing

XING is a 5-member male a cappella group from South Korea. The members include Yume (Kim Young Kyung), Poppin’ Dragon (Yong Joon Hyung), ZEN (Nam Jin Hyun), Husky (Woo Hyun Min) and Kevin (Woo Sung Hyun/Kevin Woo). Former member(s) include Marumir (Kim Ki Bum) & Cheon Hye Sung (Choi Sung Soo).



Their first single ’In Your Hands’ was released on the December 14, 2006, with 4 members (Marumir, Kevin, Yume and Cheon Hyesung). Shortly after that, they added 2 more members to the group, Poppin’ Dragon and ZEN.



Their popularity quickly rose and they were dubbed the teenage SG Wannabe. they were also in the Top 5 most anticipated artists in 2007.



In late January, they had their first concert, which was a form of training for the group. Besides the concert, there were no other promotions in the form of performances.



They were featured in magazines at the beginning of the year, which included interviews and this helped promote the group. They also participated in a few photo shoots and released clips and Music Videos online.



In late July, Marumir announced his departure from XING. The reason for this was said to be that he left for a better future for himself. He bid rest of the XING members good luck and told fans not to be heartbroken.

On August 5, 2007, Xing released their second single, ’My Girl’, with the title song falling into the genre of Pop. Although there were many fans that enjoyed this single, many also thought that they strayed too far from the image and sound that the fans initially fell in love with.

The single was promoted though a performance at the New Star event, which was a talent show organized by Xing Entertainment.

XING held their second concert on September 8. They performed songs from both their singles and each member delivered a solo performance.

They performed officially on national television on September 13th, at the YTN Star Digital Night Concert.
