Wyatt Garey began performing simple folk and cowboy songs with his Dad, Ranny Garey, as early as 3 years of age. By 8 & 9 years old Wyatt started figuring out more complicated songs on his own. By 10 Wyatt was playing guitar at a pro level in church and out. Because of his ability to learn at a rapid rate, Wyatt quickly took over the lead guitar position. At 11 years old Wyatt and his father joined a professional gospel group, Rev. Palmer and the Messengers of Hope, and began performing all around South Carolina.

He has always been a feature player pleasing audiences everywhere with his phenomenal ability on guitar. Wyatt has also learned to play bass, drums, keyboard, mandolin, trumpet, slide guitar, banjo and has always been singing.

Now as the Wyatt Garey Band their Blues and Rock n' Roll shows (including opening for the legendary Leon Russell, Headlining at New York's Famous Knitting Factory, performing at the 2008 Sarasota Blues Festival along with Bobby Rush, JJ Grey & Mofro, Bob Margolin and others) are sure to please with so many diverse styles to draw from Rock, Blues, Funk, Gospel, and more. All soulfully blended together combined with some the best backing musicians from the area's Gospel and Rock n Roll community.

In addition to his other activities, Wyatt also played trumpet in his schools marching and symphonic band and played lead guitar in his middle school jazz band. Wyatt has also found the time to perform in many different all kid and teenage Rock groups from the now legendary 6 Foot Rabbit when the kids were 11-13, and more recently Stonehouse who were winners in the first round of the local battle of the bands against much older groups. Also finding time to perform regularly with the Lowcountry Blues Club and helped to represent the Lowcountry and the Blues Club at the 2010 International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tenn performing with The Sarah Cole Band.

Wyatt Garey just graduated High School spring 2010. Before even leaving Middle School he had already become a headliner at premier clubs and performed at festivals around the East Coast and working in a traveling A.M.E. Gospel Band since 11 years old.

Wyatt turned 19 on May 12, 2011
