At over 78 minutes in length, Ellipsis is an innnovative trip through the many diverse musical influences that each member of the sextet draws from, as well as the daily operation that is everydayness. Moving slyly between jazz, hip hop, funk and even afro-beat grooves, the album has something for every music lover without losing it's cohesive sound. Greg Yost, columnist for the definitive Baltimore/DC Metro Area music magazine, Music Monthly, praised the WPs as one of the best up-and-coming groups in the Baltimore areaNot only do the boys from Written Prisms prove that they have the mic skills to be labeled legitimate hip hop artists, but these guys are great musicians who have an excellent command of a wide variety of styles." Their live performances are strong and energetic, as they clearly reflect the diversity of their influences by blending creative concoctions of music as they present their positive message. The music you need to exist is right here manifesting itself as genuine, as art, and as truth.
