With Eyes Sewn Shut is a combination of five guys from South Jersey who decided it was time for something different in the local music scene. We strive to combine influences from Melodic metal, Metal-core, Hardcore, and everything in between. The formula that best describes us is heavy emphasis on in-your-face breakdowns, skilled melodic guitar work, machine-gun-like drums, gut wrenching bass, choruses one can't help but sing along to accompanied by lethal screams. Every live performance is both entertaining, and exhilarating. We won't follow the trends that seem to plague todays music industry, but rather stray from the path to create music that we enjoy to play, and listen to. We write our lyrics so that everyone can relate to them: love lost, overcoming hardships, getting some anger off your chest, and much more one encounters throughout everyday life. In 2008, we self-released our first EP, entitled “Wargasm”. In 2009 we headed back up to the studio to record our first full length album, “I Am Apocalypse”, which is due to be released late November of '09. From there, we plan on playing a ton of shows, promoting non-stop, beginning the writing process of an even sicker sophomore album, and spreading the word of the unstoppable melodic metal force known as With Eyes Sewn Shut, with hopes of being noticed by some label's interested in working with us.
