VERSATILE MIXTAPE!!!



Selvin Castellanos (a.k.a. Lirico):



He was raised in Corozal Town (Northern Belize) but had his original roots in Benque Viejo del Carmen (West Side). At the early age of 6, SELVIN was introduced to music. He started playing the guitar catching on to the new styles coming out and making new styles of his own. After mastering his little instrument he moved on to other instruments to his likings - such instruments as the keyboard, the bass guitar and the drums. Even so SELVIN felt that there was more that he can do with his God given Talent. He kept on singing and playing in church. He was also singing and rapping at the different school and town events held. Of course, he had to be singing and rapping other artist's songs/music. But then, listening to different Dancehall/Reggae artists from Jamaica and from his own country, he made up his mind and his heart to start writing his own music. Mainly after being influenced by the young Belizean Artists in Benque Viejo, and especially by a young man known as “Rabba Man” (+R.I.P+) from whom he got that push he needed to take on that challenge!! From then on SELVIN has been making his Dancehall music, Rap music and now even some Reggaeton music in both Creole and Spanish. A new style which many wish to have! SELVIN is making it happen and is determined to get out of his music what he is putting into it. He has a big journey in front of him but is very much capable of accomplishing his ultimate dreams!



Now in 2004 SELVIN came to the United States to follow his dreams and has been working on it ever since! He has been writing, performing, recording and promoting his music bringing his new style to the music industry. He has performed at different known venues in Los Angeles such as the Key Club, Hollywood Park Casino, La Zona Rosa, Zen Sushi, Mixed Nuts Club, Club Latino, Rumba Room in Universal City and Club Rio just to name a few. His style has been heard by many artists both local and major.

He wrote a hit song in 2006 called “Hands High” from which he then made a remix with the MADD FAMILY from Switzerland. The song was featured in their latest album Madd Prophecy. SELVIN is getting radio play all the way in Switzerland, Belize City and Chicago (www.mixeology.com). In 2007 SELVIN started taking it to the next level by teaming up with his cousin DYNAMIKE and hitting the clubs & different venues. They have shared the stage with major label artists such as Nina Sky, Notch, Joel Ortiz, Malverde and Chingo Bling. Bridgez Magazine was the first to interview them off the stage!
