Antiloop

David Westerlund and Robin Söderman formed Antiloop in 1994. Friends since childhood and neighbours on Lidingö, an island in Stockholm, the pair began their musical trip together by vibing on a whole range of musical influences.

Classically trained, David is the musical brain of Antiloop and is clearly the genial type, keeping things in order although he's not always aware of it: "I'm incredibly absent minded and, I guess, bohemian", says David. "I sleep really long hours and I'm never on time for anything other than the studio. I prefer to work at night, so a lot of the time I end up trying to get some sleep with the mixer table as a pillow". Robin is Antiloop's producer and is, as David says, "a fabulous sound technician who makes the perfect mix".

Reflecting the age of today, Antiloop's music is so user-friendly it's sparked off interest from every corner of the world-wide web, at times even without an official release!

"There are a lot of computer freaks and hackers who like what we do and via MP3 they've been able to download our music all over the world" says David. "We've heard covers of our songs in Holland and we have developed an underground fan base in the States, even though we haven't released anything there yet" says Robin.
