Sokeres! The barefooted skirt-wearing African Gypsy Prince of Pidgen is single-handedly responsible for the new wave of young Broken English rappers and singers in Ghana with his critically acclaimed album "Green Card"; nominated at the 2008 Ghana Music Awards for "Discovery of The Year", "Record of The Year", "Video of The Year" & "Hip Hop Song of The Year".
Wanlov the Kubolor, 2010 MOBO nominee "Best African Act", is an award winning songwriter. His song "Human Being", which has been used for the anti-Child Trafficking UNICEF campaign in Ghana, won the WCS International Song Contest in 2006 and was the Runner Up in the 2007 Peacedriven Songwriting Award. "Never Die" also written and performed by Wanlov was the finalist in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition .His songs have been featured on many compilations like Amnesty International's "PEACE", Out Here Records' "Yes We Can – Songs About Leaving Africa" and Garth Trinidad's "Hennessy vs Fader" .
Wanlov has collaborated and shared stages with Femi Kuti, The Gorillaz, Nneka, Bashy, Zwai Balas, Reggie Rockstone, Little Brother and more. He has been featured on BBC 1XTRA, BBC World and Al Jazeera's "Playlist". Winner of Visa Pour Creation 2010, he was selected out of many applicants from around the world to do a residency at Cites Des Arts International in Paris where he created "Brown Card – The African Gypsy" introducing the world to a new genre called "Afro Gypsy Music. He is part of an Afropop duo known as the FOKN Bois made up of himself and M3nsa. Together the FOKN Bois wrote and star in the world's first Pidgen Musical Film titled "Coz Ov Moni" which is touring cinemas and film festivals around the world.
