Since 1995, the gifted Chris Brann has unleashed his original and soulful electronic sounds on a number of high quality labels under a number of successful guises. Brann formed Wamdue (short for "What I'm Gonna Do") and licensed his dreamy house to labels such as Junior Boys Own, Peace Frog and Acacia before recording a pair of albums for New York's Strictly Rhythm (Resource Toolbook Volume One in '96 and Program Yourself in '98). Simultaneously, Brann recorded as both Wamdue Kidz and Wambonix before quitting the name in '00.
Since then, Brann has expanded his musical resume with his tech-house moniker Feral (for Plastic City), his Afro-Brazilian project P'TAAH (for Ubiquity), and his genre-defying Ananda Project guise (for King Street/Nitegrooves). His U.K. number one hit "King of My Castle" (featuring Gaelle Adisson on vocals) was his crowning glory (pardon the pun). It sold 2 million copies worldwide and is to date Strictly Rhythm's most successful single.
