Originally founded in 2007 as a twopiece band powered by an iPod, WNM developed a very unique sound of 80s synthpop crossed with oldschool punkrockguitar riffs. Lots of electronic synthie sounds but still rocking in a postmodern way. Lot’s of raw punkrock n roll with a touch of pop.

Retro and modern at the same time.

Especially in the lyrics, you can often hear punk rock tendencies. When you listen to WMN you often find political topics alongside songs with very personal feelings, also pop ballads with themes taken from everyday life.

They are continually writing and recording new material in their (little) studio, which they have now based in Hamburg, Germany.



After releasing their debut album “Conscripts” in 2008 the band we met two very handsome guys who play real drums and a real bassguitar. Jan and Stefan have blended into the originial two piece Lineup.



We have successfully worked over the years with countless other bands and musicians including Abdoujaparov and iDou (Les Carter AKA Fruitbat from Carter USM), Warhead (Germanys top metal act with over 5 studio albums recorded and sold world wide), John Hayes (Mother's finest), Rozencrantz (voted Germanys top gothic rock newcomer) and Shizuko (Electro gothic rock) to name just a few.

Gegründet in 2007 als 2 Mannband mit einem iPod, haben WNM einen sehr eigenen Sound entwickelt. Eine Mischung aus

Elektro- und Synthiesounds, die aber trotzdem rockt wie die Sau. WALKING NAKED MARY erfanden das Rad zwar nicht neu, haben aber mit ihrem wuchtigen Elektro-Rock einen unverwechselbaren Sound entwickelt.

Beeinflusst werden sie von Musik der 70er und 80er Jahre. Mit einer gesunden Portion Oldschool-Punkrock, vor allem in den Lyrics, jubeln sie ihren Zuhörern sogar Popballaden unter.



Nach dem Band-Umzug nach Hamburg und der Veröffentlichung ihres Debüt-Albums „ConScripts“ (Strinkiller Records) im Dezember 2008, das bei allen Onlineportalen zum download bereit steht, trafen die beiden zwei wirklich schicke Jungs, die Schlagzeug und Bass spielen.

Jan und Stefan haben sich nahtlos in die Band eingefügt und ergänzen sich hervorragend mit dem Marysound.



Sie sind auf einem sehr guten Wege dahin, und sie haben illustre Mitstreiter bereits überzeugen können: sie spielten bereits mit Bands wie Abdoujaparov und iDou (Les Carter AKA Fruitbat von Carter USM), Warhead, John Hayes (Mother's Finest), Rozencrantz (Top Gothic Rock) und Shizuko (Electro Gothic Rock).
