some press:

"laid back yet driven and conversely purposeful, full of long droning tones and pulsating bass Voyager One's music has a way of propelling the the audience forward to higher plains."-Mike Mess, THREE IMAGINARY GIRLS"Change is constant but for Seattle's Voyager One, the five-piece has kept the core of its shimmering, sonic endeavor completely intact. Granted, the band's fourth album shifts slightly toward electronic musings with greater emphasis on synthesizer swirls and fuzzy phrases as well as tiny hints of dance floor ambitions with beats and bass lines that summon the body. That said, the lush dreamscapes retain the churning drones and twinkling guitars. And of course, Peter Marchese's reverb-laden vocals to guide listeners through the expanse. To call it psychedelic is helpful but not complete; these trips invite the body, not just the mind."- Shawn Telford, SEATTLE P.I."Afterhours In The Afterlife is another rock-solid release Past Voyager One albums (this is their fifth) have always had one song that stands out way above the rest, and this time out it's "The Future Is Obsolete", which spots a Primal Scream-esque mixture of fuzz bass, driving dance beats, psychedelic synths, as well as a killer chorus. Elsewhere, the band covers a lot of ground while keeping the quality level high a very impressive album."- David Mansdorf, LOSING TODAY“…beautiful blends of sounds, which are bound to turn heads… Fans of Swervedriver, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Black Moth Super Rainbow would be well-advised to keep their ears peeled”.- Fred Mills, HARP MAGAZINE"The brand new, 'Afterhours' is a set that shows VO are more than willing to expand upon their (already-seismic) palette. The overall sound is bigger, incorporating more electronic trickery against the hypnotic, droning guitars of Jeramy Koepping and Peter Marchese. Opener 'Here' is the musical equivalent of that vortex that opens 'Dr. Who', with Marchese repeating: "you wonn-der." while alien satellite signals orbit around your brain. The whole album feels like another grand slam from these Seattle 'aural-nauts', with my personal faves: 'I Remember Everything' (a stunner that almost has a roots vibe going for it) and the complex and emotional closer: 'Sine Waves'."- Michael Pearlstein, THE BIG TAKEOVER issue 61

“'Sine Waves' is probably one of my fave tracks at the moment.deep, emotional but [expletive] ace!.'Here' is another highlight for me.some wicked sonic ideas expressed.nice!”- Fergie Show, BBC RADIO 1

"Under The Radar once called Dissolver one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Seriously, I'd beat down the mailman for it. 9 blips out of 10."- Cory Frye, UNDER THE RADAR"It's tempting to file the surging drone of Voyager One under the rubric of psychedelia, but that wouldn't do justice to the sprawling vision of guitarist/singer/producer Jeramy Koepping and his band, which recalls an empyrean choir, or perhaps a flock of low-end and effects-pedal-wielding angels brushing your cheek."- Andrew Lentz, LA WEEKLY"Spacey, ethereal pop.creating a cosmic amalgam full of musical moonbeams. adding a psychedelic flavor to their sonic swirl. Pass the Valium."- MAGNET"It's a treat for the ears: mesmerizing, intoxicating, carefully layered arrangements that build, brick by brick, into a wall of sound."- Tom Scanlon, SEATTLE TIMES"Seattle semi-legends, Voyager One bathe their inspiration in high-voltage, metallic, mylar-made intensity that both catches and intensely refracts light. To know their music is to have a visual, physical response but not in the sense of dance music and not in the sense of trippy light shows. There's an angular, pointy directness to their songs based in an organic, bodily approach that finds security in groundlessness and comfort in the uncomfortable."- CDBABY"Dissolver is one that'll really dilate the pupils. Jeramy Koepping and Peter Marchese have crafted the romantic record of the year, pining away for worlds unknown as shimmering effects flash across walls of magnificent melody. The results? Gorgeous is an understatement. Live, Voyager One swell in size to seven members and include work from Projectorhead, who provides visuals that swirl with the music."- Jennifer Maerz, THE STRANGER"Majestic psychedelic space-rock ranging from ethereal, trance-inducing drones to epic rockers that explode with blissed-out guitar noise."- Don Yates, music director, KEXP"With a plethora of different instruments beyond the bass, drums and guitar, listen for subtle hints of hidden and manipulated brass, some eerie pedal steel and the ever-present use of trippy samples. Fans will enjoy deep, dubby bass, echoed snares, highly reverbed clean and distorted guitar and calm, melodic vocals. Seemingly a more mellow and sophisticated sounding rock, Voyager One is a must for those into the experimental facets of modern rock."- Jason Hicks, SYNTHESIS"And where many would fail, Voyager One ultimately succeed, crafting an album with a sound just prickly and bombastic enough to do old Ghidrah justice. employing loops, keyboards, guitars, samples, voices, horns, cello, and truckloads of drums. Voyager One delivers a space-rock outing that brings just as much rock as space to your speakers, a balance that’s not often achieved."- Joe Tangari, PITCHFORK"Swirls of distorted guitars and dreamy feedback help to create a wall of sound that is both beautiful and challenging. they don’t bow down at the altar of the influences and coast on that. They create their world and gracefully play around in it. perplexing and hypnotic and, most of all, smart."- Erik Pepple, SPONIC
