Desiseq is the alias of multi-instrumentalist/producer Stephen Tan based in Melbourne, Australia. The sound amalgamates live recordings, abstract ambience, glitch'y hyperedits, fractured beats, circuit bendings, soundesigns, tweaks, bleeps, clicks & cuttings within a downbeat groove based sound structure. Over the past decade he has been involved in a vast spectrum of avenues in the music industry. From live sound engineering, playing in punk-rock/instrumental-noise/prog/stage bands on guitar,working as an audio engineer on several television productions to assistant engineer/producer/mixer for various EPs, interactive art installations with dance performers using movement to manipulate sound, musical collaborations with a handful of varying artists in respective fields as well as consistantly exploring uncharted audible terrain on his own leading him into a unique non-genre specific style. Desiseq released his debut studio album "Deveilas" in May of 2010 and is currently working on a follow up EP to be released in the coming months of 2011.
