Her father, jean Constantin was a famous French composer-singer-songwriter who among other things composed the sountrack for the François Truffaut movie ' the 400 blows ' and wrote songs for Édith Piaf & Yves Montand .
He was also a great Jazz pianist and performer who, during the fifties, opened the show at the Olympia music hall of Paris for Louis Armstrong and Joséphine Baker.
It was him who introduced Virginia to the great Jazz repertoire & singers and soon after that, age 16, she started performing on the Parisian scene and clubs.
